Halfway between Vancouver and Whistler, flanked by the majestic Coastal Mountains and the spectacular beauty of Howe Sound, The BC Museum of Mining (BCMM) is an inspiring, world-class landmark and an exciting, interactive tribute to Canada’s leadership in the mining industry – past, present and future.
Our friends at the Themed Attraction Association of Canada (TAA) are very pleased to announce a unique and exclusive special event, generously hosted by the BC Museum of Mining at Britannia Beach.
Join them on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at the BCMM for an inside look at this impressive historic attraction. TAA members and guests will be treated to a private, guided tour aboard the museum’s authentic mining train and a journey deep into a real mining tunnel. Following the 45 minute tour will be special guest presentations by:
Kristin Clausen – Executive Director of BCMM
Phil Aldrich – Principal, Aldrich Pears Associates & Design lead at BCMM
Dave Jensen – Principal, D Jensen & Associates & Design lead at BCMM
Details:
Transportation – The TAA will be offering return shuttle bus service from Park Royal Shopping mall in West Vancouver to the site at Britannia Beach. The Cost for this service is $30 per person. (Book Early as this service will likely fill up quickly). They will also be coordinating a car pool service from the same location. Please indicate on the registration below if you are interested in the shuttle bus or car pool service.
Refreshments – There will be food served and bar service.
