RDG Ontario/ Aquent Salary and Fee Survey

Salary surveyAfter waiting for a long time, the results are finally here! The 2007/2008 RGD Ontario/Aquent National Survey of Graphic Design Salaries & Billing Practices is now available for download. This survey was conducted by RGD Ontario and its partner AQUENT, in cooperation with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) and the Société des designers graphiques du Québec (SDGQ).

This is the fourth time a survey of this nature has been conducted in Canada by this Association and even though the results are not to be viewed as a nationally representative statistical sample of all graphic design professionals, it does provide a current reflection of what some in the design profession are currently earning.

RDG Ontario/ Aquent Salary and Fee Survey
  1. James Welsh Says:

The real problem with the salary survey is the statistical relevance of the responses to some of the categories.

Not to mention there is no way to verify the data.

  2. Gale Leitch Says:

    Hello!

Surprising in this age of communication with, in Canada, most requisites for design jobs being excellent English skills that the person who created the PDF RGD_salarySurvey.pdf (as available for download from this web site) cannot spell “salary” correctly.

The RGD 2007-2008 Design Salaries PDF is named “RGD_sallarySurvey.pdf”. There is NOT two Ls in the word “salary.”

Remember, in future, that for digital file management purposes, spelling should be correct. Your organizaion, above all others, should know this.

Where, oh where, and how, oh how, do such poor spellers get jobs?

  3. Gale Leitch Says:

Oops! I spelled organization wrong. See how easy it is!

  4. Marga Says:

Hi Gale, thanks for noticing the typo, I’ll try to contact RGD about it.

    Cheers,
    Marga
