The Society of Graphic Designers/BC Chapter welcome you to the first in an inaugural series of design speaking events on Thursday, October 18th, 2007.

Along with the book launch for Logo Savvy: Top Brand-Design Firms Share Their Naming and Identity Strategies*, published by Rockport Publishers, this evening includes presentations by representatives of 3 well-known and respected design firms.

Each special guest will showcase a select project from the publication Logo Savvy and thoroughly present the specific project goals, strategic framework, formulation of conceptual development, creative application, through to final delivery.

Following the presentations, a short Q&A period will be available to the audience.

*Discount copies of the book will be be available.

$15 GDC members/students $25 non-GDC members.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Logo Savvy: Top Brand-Design Firms Share Their Naming and Identity Strategies.

Published by Rockport Publishers, Logo Savvy is a design publication that explore the belief that the world’s strongest brands are much more than just logos. The book showcases some of the best case studies from top branding firms around the world, such as Seattle’s Hornall Anderson Design Works. Each share their own unique approaches for developing truly distinct and effective branding systems.

Eight Vancouver design firms are featured in the publication including: BLU Concept; Dossier Creative; Exhibit A: Design Group; Grey Worldwide; Hangar 18 Creative Group; Karacters Design Group; and Rethink Communications. The book was produced and authored by Vancouver’s WOW! Branding and provides insight into their naming and identity strategies.
