New Media BC – Wednesdays

nmbc1.jpgNew Media BC Presents:
THE HUMP DAY HOOTENANNY
Weekly SIG’s featuring serious discussion in an informal setting

HEY, This be for y’all! Listen Up! We know your busy, the economy is booming, your schedule is nuts. No need to thank NMBC for helping out with that ;-) BUT we still “need to talk” and this time that phrase isn’t uttered as a preamble to a break up.

NMBC would like to invite you to attend a new initiative we’re launching beginning in June; The Humpday Hootenanny!

DETAILS
Where: The NMBC offices at 102-577 Great Northern Way
When: Well…Wednesdays! from 4 - 5:30 pm
RSVP: Seating capacity is limited, so RSVP to adam@newmediabc.com

Join us once a month for these informal 90-minute sessions to take place each Wednesday in NMBC’s swank lounge where members (and invited guests) are invited to share their insights and opinions on the industry, learn what we’re doing and inform what we should be doing. To ensure that we have a focused discussion each week we are dedicating one week out of each month to a special interest group.

They will meet as follows:
- First Wednesday of each month - Interactive Design [ Web2.0, Social Media, eLearning, et al…]
- Second Wednesday of each month - Animation and VFX
- Third Wednesday of each month - Mobile content and applications
- Fourth Wednesday of each month - Games and Digital Entertainment

Rationale:
Despite the age of convergence being upon us the sectors we represent still have singular nuances, idiosyncrasies and special needs. As your industry association we want to address those needs on your behalf, after all we are your “in-the-house” resource for those all-important issues affecting your industry and your bottom line. Advocacy, professional development, business matchmaking and marketing are crucial to the success of your business and the health of your sector here in BC. NMBC is here to help with those efforts.
