Our good friends at RGD Ontario have invited us to join them in San Francisco, April 19-22, for a whirlwind studio tour (Cahan & Associates, Howry Design Associates, Landor, Method Design, Pentagram SF, Templin Brink Design), lunch at The Font Shop, and good company in the off-hours with which to explore this wonderful city.

My love affair with design and San Francisco started almost simultaneously as I opened the front cover of (the now defunct) Critique magazine’s 10th issue. It started with an article on the rising the design accreditation movement, moved on to a three-part article on the future of design education, and finished with a mini studio tour of San Francisco. To me, then trying to decide whether or not to study and make a career out of design at all, this was like three lights turning on in my head all at once. I can’t wait to go back.
