Please join Ken Zorniak, COO and Chris Harvey, CG Visual Effects Supervisor, as they take you behind the scenes for Frantic Films’ visual effects work on this summer’s Superman Returns blockbuster. Frantic’s research and development for Superman returns includes Frantic’s water simulation tool, FLOOD, as well as, PARTICLE RENDER; SILT and CRYSTAL GROWTH simulation technology. Frantic will give you a behind the scenes look at several shots of the movie including the opening sequence, and the visual effects technology used to create them.

Ken Zorniak
Co-founder of Frantic Films, Ken Zorniak brings over nine years experience producing visual effect for features, television and commercials. As COO and Executive Producer, Ken is involved in all aspects of production and oversees all bidding for film, television and commercial projects. He plays a key role in the development and growth of the company as well as being an active liaison with clients, staff and artists. Recently, Ken has executive produced visual effects for the Warner Bros. project Superman Returns which is an addition to Frantic Films’ ever-growing roster of clients including Warner Bros., (Swordfish, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Catwoman, Poseidon), Paramount (The Core, Italian Job, Paycheck), 20th Century Fox (X2: X-Men United, Stay, X3: The Last Stand), and Universal (Idlewild).

Chris Harvey
Chris Harvey has been in the VFX industry for the past 11 years, working on everything from games, commercials, animated features, and film. Throughout the years he has had the opportunity to work with a large number of studios worldwide, taking part in pretty much all stages of the production pipeline. Currently Chris resides in Vancouver, Canada working at Frantic Films as a VFX supervisor. His main area of expertise is as a technical director with his strongest passion aimed at creature effects. Aside from his professional work Chris is very active in the educational community, believing that we would all do better if we share our knowledge with one another. He is a certified Autodesk Training Specialist and is often called on as guest speaker at various VFX related events. Some of his more recent film projects include (though not limited to): Superman Returns, Dungeon Siege: In the Name of the King, X-men 3, Freddy vs. Jason, The Italian job, and Scooby Doo 2.
